Job summary

Qualifications

• Relocation to Elko, NV required (relocation bonus available).
• 7+ years of progressive EHS management experience in mining, heavy equipment manufacturing, or construction.
• 3+ years of leadership experience across multiple sites or business units.
• Extensive knowledge of MSHA regulations and mining industry safety standards.
• Ability to travel up to 20% in the Elko region.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs compliant with MSHA, OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.
• Partner with regional and site leadership to embed EHS into planning and decision-making.
• Oversee risk management through site inspections, hazard identifications, audits, and corrective actions.
• Lead investigations and root-cause analyses to drive continuous safety improvements.
• Design and deliver role-specific EHS training for supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
• Manage contractor safety compliance and foster strong partnerships with customers.
• Collaborate with HR on wellness, workers' comp, and return-to-work programs.
• Oversee environmental compliance for hazardous materials, waste, stormwater, and spills.
• Provide expertise on occupational health, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene.
• Lead emergency preparedness and business continuity across sites.
• Coordinate internal and external EHS audits, including ISO certifications, and act on findings.
• Report on EHS metrics to regional and corporate leadership for data-driven decisions.
• Build partnerships with mine-site stakeholders to align EHS with operations and customer expectations.
