Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Regional EHS Manager based in Elko, NV, to lead and enhance Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across multiple mining sites.

You will drive compliance, manage risk, and integrate safety as a core business value on the ground and in leadership forums. The role requires 7+ years in EHS with mining or heavy industry, 3+ years in multi-site leadership, and strong incident investigation experience.

Qualifications

• Must relocate to Elko, Nevada (relocation bonus available).
• 7+ years of progressive EHS management experience in mining, heavy equipment manufacturing, or construction.
• 3+ years of leadership experience overseeing EHS programs across multiple sites or business units.
• Extensive knowledge of MSHA regulations and mining safety standards.
• Experienced in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% in the Elko region.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsabilités

• Develop, execute, and maintain EHS programs aligned with federal, state, and local regulations (MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DOT).
• Embed EHS considerations into operational planning and decision‑making with regional/site leadership.
• Oversee risk management through site inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, promoting lessons learned.
• Design and deliver role‑specific safety training for supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
• Manage contractor safety compliance and foster strong relationships with customer sites.
• Collaborate with HR on wellness, workers' compensation, and return‑to‑work programs.
• Oversee environmental compliance for hazardous materials, waste, stormwater, and spill prevention.
• Provide expertise on occupational health topics including industrial hygiene and ergonomics.
• Lead emergency preparedness and business continuity planning across sites.
• Coordinate internal and external EHS audits and respond to findings.
• Develop and report EHS metrics to regional and corporate leadership.
• Build partnerships with mine site stakeholders to align EHS with operations and customer expectations.
• Take initiative on additional duties supporting Komatsu's safety and environmental mission.
