Job summary

International Rescue Committee in Wichita, KS is seeking a Caseworker to provide trauma-informed services to refugees and other qualified immigrants, guiding them toward self-sufficiency. You will work with clients and partners to create tailored plans, manage benefits, housing, and healthcare access, and document progress in our systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, 2+ years in human services, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Experience providing services to refugees or immigrants preferred.
• Ability to learn IRIS and ETO database systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre- and post-arrival services to ensure essentials and housing.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop self-sufficiency plans with SMART goals.
• Provide services including financial assistance, public benefits referrals, and housing.
• Monitor client progress and adjust plans to meet goals within program rules.
• Assist with housing setup, medical appointments, and transportation as needed.
• Document interactions in ETO, track progress, and report as required.
• Collaborate with coworkers and partner service providers.
• May train volunteers and lead interns; perform other duties as assigned.
