Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Caseworker in Phoenix, AZ to provide trauma-informed case management to refugees and ORR-eligible clients. You will develop self-sufficiency plans, coordinate services, and advocate for linguistically appropriate support within a collaborative team.

You will work across a spectrum of services, including financial, medical, social, and vocational supports, ensuring client-centered care and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Social Work or a related field is strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of case management experience in a social services environment is typical.
• Proficiency in English; bilingual abilities welcome (spanish/dari/swahili, etc.) and cross-cultural communication.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive case management services to enrolled clients.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop self-sufficiency plans with clients.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with partners to support client needs.
• Track progress and maintain documentation in databases per program rules.
• Engage in outreach to inform providers and refugees about services.
• Assist with benefits applications and community support services.
• Travel using a personal vehicle or public transport as needed for service delivery.
