Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Kentucky seeks a Caseworker to deliver trauma-informed services to refugees and immigrants, helping them reach self-sufficiency through financial, medical, housing and employment support. You will work with clients, gather information, and coordinate resources for a successful resettlement.

Responsibilities include intake, SMART goal planning, and tracking progress in ETO and IRIS systems, with field visits and occasional weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in human services; refugee/immigrant work preferred.
• Fluency in English; additional languages (Dari, Farsi, Pashto) desired.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre- and post-arrival services and housing, food, and transportation.
• Conduct intake assessments; develop individualized self-sufficiency plans with SMART goals.
• Provide referrals for public benefits, medical and mental health services, and housing.
• Document interactions and track progress in required systems.
• Collaborate with coworkers and partners; train volunteers as needed.
