Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Tucson, AZ seeks a Caseworker to provide trauma-informed, client-centered services to recently arrived refugees and other immigrants. You will connect clients to housing, medical, financial, social, vocational, and community resources following program rules and IRC standards.

Responsibilities include intake assessments, self-sufficiency planning, direct services, and coordination with partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
• English proficiency required; bilingual ability in refugee languages preferred.
• Experience with refugee/immigrant populations and case management desired.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre- and post-arrival services for housing, food, medical care, and transportation.
• Conduct housing set-ups, airport pick-ups, home visits, and field-based services.
• Document client interactions and maintain data in required databases.
• Develop individualized self-sufficiency plans with clients and timelines.
• Provide ongoing case management, referrals, and advocacy.
• Monitor progress, identify barriers, and adjust service plans as needed.
