Job summary

Amerita is seeking an Intake Coordinator to support its Intake team. The role focuses on timely processing of referrals, collecting patient information, and coordinating with Sales and Pharmacy to ensure insurance coverage and proper authorization.

The Intake Coordinator works within a collaborative team, maintaining confidentiality and delivering compassionate service to patients and referral sources. This is an on-site position with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; associate degree or some college preferred.
• Experience handling various payer types including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-certification procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals received from referral sources in a timely manner.
• Ensure all required documentation is received to process referrals.
• Enter patient demographics, clinical and insurance information into the system.
• Coordinate with Sales, Access and clinical staff regarding referrals and authorization needs.
• Verify insurance and communicate patient financial responsibilities prior to delivery.
