Job summary

Amerita, Inc. is seeking an Intake Coordinator to join the Oklahoma City team. You will be the first point of contact for referrals, gather patient data, and collaborate with Sales, Access and clinical staff to process referrals and confirm insurance coverage.

The role requires accuracy in data entry, confidentiality, and strong communication, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a focus on helping patients access infusion services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurers.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-certification procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals from referral sources in a timely manner.
• Ensure all required documentation is received to process referrals.
• Enter patient demographics, clinical, and insurance information into the computer system.
• Coordinate with Sales, Access and clinical staff on referral status and authorization requirements.
• Verify insurance and communicate financial responsibilities to patients prior to delivery.
• Document progress notes in the system.
• Notify patients and caregivers regarding insurance coverage and payments.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.
• Other duties as assigned.
