Job summary

Community Partners in Action is seeking a part-time Human Services Worker (32 hours) for its Work Release Program in Hartford, CT. The role supports residents through supervision, advocacy, and crisis intervention, while upholding BEDI principles and ensuring safety and dignity for participants.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, with any higher education and experience with justice-involved clients considered a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with justice-involved clients and behavioral health issues is a plus.
• Must have a valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise resident activities and ensure a safe environment.
• Advocate for participants and encourage program participation.
• Mediate resident conflicts and promote solutions-oriented approaches.
• Maintain professional boundaries with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Promote respect, empathy, and belonging; address unconscious bias.
