Job summary

Community Partners in Action in Hartford, CT seeks a Lead Human Services Worker for its Work Release Program. You will supervise staff, manage crises, and support residents through trauma-informed care to promote accountability and recovery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience in human services.
• At least one year of staff supervision experience.
• Experience with justice-involved clients with substance abuse, mental health, or other behavioral issues preferred.
• Ability to work with multi-cultural populations; crisis management skills; belief in rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with orientation and training of new staff.
• In the absence of Residential Manager, assume program responsibilities and oversee staff.
• Supervise resident activities and ensure a safe environment using de-escalation techniques.

• Mediate conflicts in a solution-focused manner.
• Maintain professional boundaries and conduct.
• Meet resident needs as appropriate and follow policies.
• Complete incident reports and maintain shift logs.
