Job summary

Community Solutions Inc. (CSI) is seeking a Part-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist for our Drapelick program located in Bloomfield, CT. The role supports state and federal work-release clients in a congregate setting, helping them obtain full-time employment and financial self-sufficiency.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, and FBOP background/training. Weekend shifts are 8:00am–4:00pm with a starting hourly rate of $20.25.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 4 years in social service or criminal justice field preferred.
• Must pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
• Attend 40hrs FBOP required training prior to working FBOP clients.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Report to work 15 minutes before scheduled shift (example: 4pm–12am shift requires reporting by 3:45pm).
• Conduct Urinalysis.
• Provide updates on client issues and incidents.
• Verify passing items between shifts and ensure facility keys security.
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
• Conduct searches of common areas, rooms, and perimeter and document results.
• Search pat/pocket areas for clients entering facility and document results.
• Confiscate contraband and complete incident reports.
• Complete hourly house counts (midnight–8am) and 2-hourly counts (8am–10pm).
• Transport clients in company vehicle as needed.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same-sex clients and complete paperwork and documentation.
• Supervise all client visitation and sign-in/out visitors.
• Complete intake on new arrivals and facilitate client orientation.
• Facilitate client movement in and out of facility.
• Monitor self-administration of medication by clients.
