Job summary

Community Partners in Action, Inc. seeks a Human Services Worker for the Hartford Transitional Housing program. This part-time 32-hour position provides direct support to residents, helps maintain a safe environment, and contributes to reentry and housing goals.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or higher, is comfortable working weekends, and can travel locally if required. CT driver’s license and strong communication are essential; lived experience is encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or higher with associate/bachelor preferred.
• Experience in human services with justice-involved clients preferred.
• Valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Lived experience encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor resident activities per policy.
• Advocate for participants to encourage participation.
• Mediates resident conflicts in a solutions-focused manner.
• Maintain professional boundaries with residents, staff and visitors.
• Promote respect, belonging, and anti-discrimination.
• Serve as professional role model and uphold ethics.
• Transport residents to work and program activities.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; complete documentation as required.
