Job summary

Community Partners in Action, Inc. is hiring a Human Services Worker for the Work Release Program in Hartford, CT. This part-time role (32 hours) offers $22.50 per hour and includes weekend and holiday flexibility.

The position supports residents with housing, basic needs, and employment readiness while promoting equity and dignity. Qualifications include a high school diploma/GED and experience in human services for justice-involved clients. Driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in human services with justice-involved clients is preferred.
• Crisis management skills and ability to interact with diverse populations are expected.
• Must have a valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise resident activities per program policies and maintain a safe environment.
• Advocate for participants and encourage program participation.
• Mediate resident conflicts in a constructive, solutions-focused manner.
• Maintain professional boundaries and document incidents accurately.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
