Job summary

Community Partners in Action, Inc. in Hartford, CT is seeking a Lead Human Services Worker for the Work Release Program.

The role involves supervising residents, applying crisis management and trauma-informed approaches, and maintaining a safe, compliant environment. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma/GED plus 3 years in human services, at least 1 year of supervisory experience, a CT driver’s license, and willingness to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or higher; 3 years in human services; residential experience preferred.
• At least 1 year supervising staff.
• Experience with justice-involved clients with substance abuse or mental health issues is desirable.
• Ability to interact with multi-cultural populations; crisis management skills.
• Trauma-informed approaches and cultural responsiveness; pro-social role modelling.
• Valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work weekends/holidays and additional hours as needed.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commit to agency mission and program goals.
• Promote a culture of respect, empathy, belonging and eliminate unconscious bias.
• Assist with orientation and training of new staff.
• Assume operational responsibilities in the absence of the Residential Manager.
• Supervise resident activities and ensure a safe environment.
• Advocate for participants and mediate conflicts.
• Maintain professional boundaries and conduct.
• Ensure policy procedures are followed and incident reports are accurate.
