Job summary

Community Partners in Action (CPA) is seeking a Per Diem Human Services Worker for the Work Release Program in Hartford, CT. The position supports residents with housing and basic needs, promotes employment readiness, and helps develop life and work skills for successful community reintegration.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with preferred associate or bachelor's degrees, and is able to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to interact with multi-cultural populations and crisis management skills.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor resident activities to ensure safety and adherence to program policies.
• Advocate for participants and encourage program participation and accountability.
• Mediate conflicts and resolve issues using solutions-focused approaches.
• Maintain professional boundaries with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Uphold ethics and professionalism in all interactions and documentation.
• Promote respect, belonging, and elimination of bias within the program.
