Job summary

Community Partners in Action in Hartford is seeking a Human Services Worker for a 32-hour, part-time role in our Transitional Housing program. You will supervise residents, support daily activities, and promote a respectful, inclusive environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (associate/bachelor preferred), a CT driver's license, and the ability to work weekends/holidays. Lived experience is encouraged; comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in human services and with justice-involved clients preferred.
• Valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and additional hours.
• Lived experience encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor resident activities per program policies.
• Advocate for participants and encourage participation.
• Resolve conflicts using solution-focused mediation.
• Maintain professional boundaries with residents and staff.
• Maintain shift logs and incident reports; ensure safety.
