Job summary

American Addiction Centers seeks a Treatment Advocate to support clients' recovery by observing daily activities, coordinating services with the treatment team, and assisting with program logistics. The TA also operates the company vehicle to transport clients and facility visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred in Behavioral Sciences (social sciences, human services, counseling or psychology).
• Valid Driver's License required with insurable driving record.
• Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a behavioral healthcare field preferred.
• Knowledge of utilizing electronic health record software and documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes new patients and assists with orientation of programming schedule and rules.
• Conducts safety rounds and security checks.
• Supports daily treatment schedule and participation in meetings.
• Provides supportive services to outpatient and inpatient adult population.
• Intervenes in crisis situations to deescalate and resolve crises.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and company information.
