Job summary

American Addiction Centers seeks a Treatment Advocate to support patients’ recovery journey. You will assist with daily schedules, coordinate services, and help ensure quality care across treatment teams.

Responsibilities include welcoming new patients, conducting safety checks, and maintaining compliant documentation while supporting clinical staff and patient participation in therapy services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Sciences preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with insurable driving record.
• Experience in a behavioral healthcare field preferred.
• Ability to read, write and interpret written information; document well.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new patients and assist with orientation of programming schedule and rules.
• Conduct safety rounds and security checks; monitor patient well‑being.
• Coordinate patient daily schedule including treatment meetings and counseling.
• Provide support and encouragement to patients and family participation.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure best patient care.
• Maintain documentation per AAC policies and accreditation standards.
• Assist in crisis deescalation and transport as needed.
• Load/unload baggage and run miscellaneous patient errands as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred in Behavioral Sciences

Valid Driver’s License
