Job summary

American Addiction Centers is seeking a Treatment Advocate to support patients' recovery journey. You will welcome new clients, assist with orientation, coordinate daily schedules, and collaborate with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care.

You will perform safety checks, help with group and individual counseling participation, and maintain timely documentation in line with AAC policies. Valid driver's license and ability to drive is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with insurable driving record.
• Experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; EHR software experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new patients and orient them to programming schedules and rules.
• Conduct safety rounds and security checks.
• Coordinate patient daily schedules including treatment meetings and counseling participation.
• Support and encourage patient participation in group, individual and family counseling services.
• Maintain documentation to meet contract, licensure, accreditation and AAC policy guidelines.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure high-quality patient care.
