Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Recon Account Specialist II to deliver an exceptional client experience and drive operational excellence across auction and reconditioning sites. You will coordinate repairs, verify estimates, and ensure high‑quality service delivery.

You will track progress, collaborate with maintenance, reconditioning, vendors, and procurement, and nurture relationships with commercial accounts while identifying upsell opportunities and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 3 years of claims management/claims investigation or an equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Ability to adapt in a fluid, changing environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Track repair progress, monitor timelines, and share updates with clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with maintenance, reconditioning, vendor, and operations to initiate work and maintain flow.
• Audit work performed by Commercial Account Administrators and Procurement for accuracy.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, approvals, and completed work per company standards.
• Serve as liaison between departments, clients, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Communicate process changes and account updates to managers and stakeholders.
• Model safe behaviors and participate in Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Identify upselling opportunities through strong client relationships and service excellence.
