Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Interventionist Teacher to support 3rd–8th grade students who have identified gaps in reading and/or math, with the aim to close gaps by two years within a single school year.

The role focuses on small-group Direct Instruction, frequent progress monitoring, and evidence-based intervention aligned with IDEA’s AP for All initiative. Bachelor's degree and K-12 teaching experience are required.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency in Math and/or ELA demonstrated by teaching certification, field of study, or work experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution is required.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach CSI instruction in small groups for 3rd–8th grade students at risk in reading and/or math.
• Provide district-approved research-based interventions for K-2 and 9th–12th grades as campus assignment dictates.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to coordinate student support.
• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans and track student progress with gradebooks.
• Communicate student progress to families weekly and maintain engagement with the school community.
