Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Florida seeks an Interventionist Teacher to work with CSI small groups, focusing on closing reading and math gaps for students at risk. You will collaborate with general education teachers to coordinate intervention and implement state standards and IDEA curricula.

You will also deliver grade-level content, submit lesson plans two weeks in advance, use assessments to track progress, and communicate with families weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution required.
• Florida educator certification required or willing to pursue certification.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting strongly preferred.
• IDEA operates a certification program for non-certified IDEA teachers to gain certification while teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach CSI small groups of students at risk in reading/math in various instructional settings.
• Work closely with general education teachers to coordinate support for intervention students.
• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious goals.
• Deliver content mastery and grade-level objectives; use weekly lesson plans two weeks ahead.
• Implement formal/informal assessments to track progress and adjust instruction; update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with families weekly.
• Use technology effectively to support communication and learning.
• Establish and maintain a positive behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive school culture fostering student engagement and belonging.
• Host tutoring sessions as needed and participate in meetings and after-school duties.
