Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Interventionist Teacher to work with small groups of students in Reading and Math who are at risk, focusing on closing gaps within one school year. The role operates under Title I Part A funds with potential for extension depending on grant status.

The position includes salary start at $59,500 plus stipends for certifications and campus leadership, with additional opportunities for performance-based compensation.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency in Math and/or ELA evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience.
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach CSI instruction for small groups in grades 3rd-8th who are at risk in reading or math.
• Teach intervention to Kinder-2nd as assigned by campus.
• Teach intervention to 9th-12th as assigned by campus.
• Coordinate with general education teachers to support students needing intervention.
• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track progress with assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate progress with students and families weekly.
