Overview

The IDEA Interventionist Co-Teacher intervenes with small groups of students who have identified gaps of 2 or more years in Reading and/or Math with the goal of closing that gap by 2 years in one school year. This role contributes to preparing students to participate in IDEA’s AP for All initiative. Intervention teachers provide systematic, intensive assistance to students at risk for underperforming relative to grade- or age-level standards using universal screening, Direct Instruction intervention, frequent progress monitoring, and increasingly intensive research-based instruction and interventions. This is a Title I Part A grant-funded position and funding may be extended; there is no guarantee of ongoing employment.
