Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Interventionist Teacher to work with small groups in reading and math, closing gaps through Direct Instruction and progress monitoring. This grant-funded role focuses on rigorous intervention aligned with district and state standards, serving 3rd–8th graders, with capacity to support Kinder-2nd and 9th–12th campuses as assigned.

The role emphasizes collaboration with general education teachers, implementing IDEA curricula, and maintaining documentation and progress

Qualifications

• High proficiency in Math and/or ELA demonstrated by certification, degree, or relevant experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred).
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach CSI intervention to small groups for 3rd-8th grade at-risk students.
• Teach district-approved intervention to Kinder-2nd grade as assigned.
• Teach district-approved intervention to 9th-12th grade as assigned.
• Coordinate with general education teachers to support students.
• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Deliver content and grade-level curriculum and objectives.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Use assessments to track each student’s progress and adjust plans.
• Maintain gradebook and communicate progress weekly to families.
• Host tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as needed.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins and grade-level meetings.
