Job summary

Opal Autism Centers is hiring a Behavior Technician in training (RBT in Training) for a full-time, on-site role at our Meridian center. You will begin with paid training at $11.00/hour, then transition to the agreed rate after certification and client sessions begin.

You will learn under BCBAs, perform data collection, support treatment plans, and engage families, contributing to meaningful progress for children with autism in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children and individuals with special needs.
• Willingness to complete the RBT training program and attain certification.
• Ability to obtain CPR certification before start date.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and complete the 40-hour RBT training program to develop knowledge and skills in behavior analysis.
• Shadow and assist RBTs and BCBAs in implementing treatment plans.
• Collect and record electronic data on client behaviors and progress.
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities to facilitate their learning and growth.
• Communicate with families about their child's daily progress.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to further your understanding of ABA principles.
• Maintain adherence to BACB guidelines.
