Job summary

Opal Autism Centers is hiring a Behavior Technician in Meridian, ID, to train as an RBT and support children with autism under BCBA guidance. The role is center‑based and offers paid training with growth toward certification.

During training, pay starts at $11.00/hour and progresses once certification is achieved. Candidates must complete the program, pass a background check, and obtain CPR before starting client sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to complete the RBT training program and attain certification.
• Ability to obtain CPR certification before start date.
• Pass criminal background check and adhere to BACB guidelines.
• Center-based, on-site work with ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and complete the 40-hour RBT training program.
• Shadow and assist RBTs and BCBAs in implementing treatment plans.
• Collect and record electronic data on client behaviors and progress.
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities to facilitate learning.
• Communicate with families about daily progress.
• Attend team meetings and trainings on ABA principles.
• Maintain adherence to BACB ethical guidelines.
• Support and mentor clients with goals in a center-based setting.
