Job summary

Opal Autism Centers is seeking a Behavior Technician in Training (RBT in Training) for a full-time, center-based role at our Meridian, ID location. You will participate in a structured RBT training program and earn a training rate during the initial period before moving to the standard pay rate after certification and client sessions begin.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; further psychology education is a plus.
• Willingness to complete the RBT training program and certification.
• Ability to obtain CPR certification before start date.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to learn and grow in behavior analysis.
• Comfortable working fully on-site in a center.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete the 40-hour RBT training program to develop knowledge and skills in behavior analysis.
• Shadow and assist RBTs and BCBAs in implementing treatment plans.
• Collect and record electronic data on client behaviors and progress.
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities to facilitate their learning and growth.
• Communicate with families about their child's daily progress.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to further your understanding of ABA principles.
• Maintain adherence to ethical guidelines and regulations per BACB guidelines.
