Job summary

Opal Autism Centers is seeking a Behavior Technician in training (RBT in Training) at our Eagle, Idaho center. You will start on a paid training rate of $11.00/hour during training, then move to the agreed rate after certification and client sessions begin.

This full-time, center-based role offers mentorship from BCBAs and hands-on ABA experience. Responsibilities include data collection, shadowing RBTs/BCBAs, engaging clients in activities, and communicating with families while upholding BACB

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree is a plus.
• Willingness to complete the RBT training program and attain certification.
• Ability to obtain CPR certification before start date.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to learn and grow professionally in ABA.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and complete the 40-hour RBT training program to develop knowledge and skills in behavior analysis.
• Shadow and assist RBTs and BCBAs in implementing treatment plans.
• Collect and record electronic data on client behaviors and progress.
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities to facilitate learning and growth.
• Communicate with families about daily progress.
• Attend team meetings and trainings on ABA principles.
• Maintain adherence to BACB ethical guidelines and regulations.
