Job summary

Opal Autism Centers is seeking a Behavior Technician in Training (RBT in Training) to support children with autism in a center-based setting. The role includes paid training and a pathway to RBT certification, with mentorship from BCBAs and hands-on experience in ABA.

Initial pay during training is a flat rate, increasing after certification, and employees gain access to comprehensive benefits, on-site supervision, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to complete the RBT training program and attain certification
• Ability to obtain CPR certification before employment start date
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Comfortable working on-site in a center-based setting

Responsibilities

• Participate in and complete the 40-hour RBT training program to develop knowledge and skills in behavior analysis
• Shadow and assist RBTs and BCBAs in implementing treatment plans
• Collect and record electronic data on client behaviors and progress
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities to facilitate their learning and growth
• Communicate with families about their child's daily progress
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to further your understanding of ABA principles
• Maintain adherence to BACB guidelines
