Job summary

Watco is seeking a Track Laborer to safely inspect, repair, and maintain railroad track infrastructure to ensure reliable service for customers. This is a hands-on role that includes a structured training period to build proficiency in required skills and safety practices.

You will assist with handling rail components, track turnout maintenance, and roadbed work while complying with company standards and federal/state regulations. A valid license is required, with CDL preferred as a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass and obtain any required reporting, testing, and certifications.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, load and unload rail and track components and assist with installation.
• Assist in inspection, grinding, fabrication and repair of rail and track components.
• Assist with construction, maintenance and repair of turnouts, switches and track infrastructure.
• Perform reporting and read safety rules, operating instructions and regulations.
• Read gauges and maintenance manuals and operate basic track equipment.
