Job summary

Watco seeks a Track Laborer to safely inspect, repair, and maintain railroad track infrastructure, ensuring reliable service for customers. This on-site, manual labor role offers a $22.00 per hour pay and a Mon-Thurs, 6:00am start schedule, with a structured training period.

You will assist with inspection, loading/unloading, and installation of rail components; inspect track turnouts and infrastructure; read safety rules and maintenance manuals; and operate equipment such as a backhoe or track

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license required.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Must be 18+ with High School or GED.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, load/unload, distribute and install rail components and track materials.
• Inspect, grind, fabricate and repair rail and track components.
• Inspect, maintain, repair and construct track turnouts, switch stands, and infrastructure.
• Inspect and maintain track surface, ballast, tie removal and roadbed rehabilitation.
• Read gauges, schematics and maintenance manuals; report issues timely.
• Operate equipment such as backhoe and track hoe; perform other duties as assigned.
