Job summary
HDR Rail is seeking a talented EIT to contribute to the planning, design, construction and delivery of rail infrastructure projects across North America. You will assist with calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and cost estimates, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical solutions.
You will gain exposure to a range of rail disciplines, with opportunities for professional growth, mentorship and involvement in projects serving Class I, short line, regional
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- EIT certification or pursuing licensure.
- FE Exam planned or completed.
- Experience with rail engineering, transportation or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with design software listed above.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, construction and delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
- Assist with technical deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, exhibits and cost estimates.
- Contribute to a variety of projects involving track, facilities, structures, civil infrastructure, environmental services, construction field services, and advisory support.
- Participate in site visits, field assessments, inspections, and project walkthroughs.
- Utilize engineering, design and analytical tools to support project development and delivery.
- Research and apply applicable codes, standards, regulations and client requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, advisory, technology and construction disciplines.
- Work alongside experienced engineers, project managers and technical specialists to develop your technical and professional skills.
- Travel periodically for project meetings, field assignments, client-related activities and construction support.
