Qualifications
- Engineer‑in‑Training certification or plans to pursue professional licensure.
- Successful completion of, or plans to take, the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
- Internship, co‑op, research, field or project experience related to engineering, transportation, construction or infrastructure.
- Experience with engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation, Revit, GIS, structural analysis software, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
- Construction inspection, field assessment or surveying experience.
- Interest in freight rail, transit, industrial, port or transportation infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, construction and delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
- Assist with technical deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, exhibits and cost estimates.
- Contribute to a variety of projects involving track, facilities, structures, civil infrastructure, environmental services, construction field services, and advisory support.
- Participate in site visits, field assessments, inspections, and project walkthroughs.
- Utilize engineering, design and analytical tools to support project development and delivery.
- Research and apply applicable codes, standards, regulations and client requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, advisory, technology and construction disciplines.
- Work alongside experienced engineers, project managers and technical specialists to develop your technical and professional skills.
- Travel periodically for project meetings, field assignments, client‑related activities and construction support.
