Job summary

HDR is seeking a driven Rail EIT to contribute to a wide range of rail projects across North America. You will work with senior engineers on planning, design, and delivery tasks, gaining hands-on experience from concept through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Opportunities span track, facilities, environmental services, and advisory support, with potential travel for site visits and project meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or plans to pursue licensure.
Experience with engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation, Revit, GIS, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

Support planning, design, construction and delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
Assist with technical deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, exhibits and cost estimates.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, advisory, technology and construction disciplines.
Participate in site visits, field assessments, inspections, and project walkthroughs.
Utilize engineering, design and analytical tools to support project development and delivery.
