Job summary

HDR Rail is seeking an Engineering in Training (EIT) to join our rail design and delivery teams. You’ll gain exposure to track, facilities, civil infrastructure, environmental services and advisory support across North America, building a foundation for a rewarding rail engineering career.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, project managers and technical specialists, participate in site visits and field assessments, and apply applicable codes and standards while pursuing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate required or in progress.
• Successful completion of, or plans to take, the FE Exam.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, construction and delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
• Assist with technical deliverables including calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, exhibits and cost estimates.
• Contribute to projects involving track, facilities, civil infrastructure, environmental services, construction field services, and advisory support.
• Participate in site visits, field assessments, inspections, and project walkthroughs.
• Use engineering, design and analytical tools to support project development and delivery.
• Research and apply codes, standards and client requirements.
