Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies, ensuring safety and accuracy in a high-volume clinical setting. You will document encounters in EMR, adjust technical factors, and support care under providers' orders.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure as applicable, and BLS. Travel to partner facilities may be required, with strong emphasis on patient care, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification/Registration required
• State licensure preferred (where applicable)
• BLS certification required or expected on hire

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation protection
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment; ensures patient safety and professional handling
• Documents patient encounters in EMR
• Selects appropriate technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment
• May travel to off-site facilities to meet patient care needs and scheduling requirements
• Maintains sterile technique and follows infection control policies
• Reports equipment malfunctions and coordinates with supervisor for repairs
• Performs additional duties such as scheduling, patient registration, or scribing as needed
