Job summary

Mercy Health seeks an X-ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies under provider orders. You will operate with strict safety, document encounters, and support patient care across facilities as needed.

The role requires ARRT certification, BLS, and an associate degree in radiologic technology, with 1 year of related experience preferred. You will join a high-volume team committed to patient-centered care and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and registration required.
• State licensure preferred where applicable.
• BLS certification preferred; must be obtained prior to direct patient care.
• Associate degree from ARRT-accredited program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care.
• Experience with EMR and radiology information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform provider-ordered radiographic exams with correct positioning and protection.
• Set up equipment and immobilization; ensure high safety standards.
• Document patient encounters in EMR.
• Select proper technical factors to protect patient and equipment.
• Travel to other facilities as needed for patient care and schedule adjustments.
• Maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Assist with supplies, labs, scheduling, and scribing as needed.
