Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies for provider orders. The role involves multi-skilled clinical work, patient positioning, and EMR documentation in a fast-paced environment.

You'll ensure radiation safety, operate imaging equipment, and travel to off-site facilities as needed. Preferred candidates hold ARRT certification, BLS, and 1+ year of radiology experience, with EPIC/EHR and PACS familiarity.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification/registration required.
• State licensure preferred (varies by state).
• BLS certification required.
• Associate degree from ARRT-accredited program preferred.
• At least 1 year of radiation safety and patient care experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR/EHR and PACS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider ordered radiographic examinations with proper positioning and protection.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment and positions patients safely.
• Documents patient encounters in EMR.
• Selects electronic and technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• May travel to other facilities to support providers.
• Maintains infection control and sterilization practices.
• Performs scribing, registration, scheduling as needed.
