Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an X-ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies, ensuring proper patient positioning, safety, and accurate documentation within the EMR. The role supports multiple facilities and may require travel to meet patient care needs under supervision.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification, an associate degree in radiologic technology, and familiarity with EPIC EHR, PACS, and RIS. BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• ARRT Certification required or in progress where permitted by state law.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.
• Experience with radiology information systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and protection.
• Sets up equipment and ensures safe immobilization and patient handling.
• Documents patient encounters in EMR accurately.
• Selects appropriate technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• May travel to off-site locations and support coverage as needed.
