Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a dedicated X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies and support patient care under provider direction. You will ensure correct patient positioning, safety, and accurate documentation in the EMR.

Requirements include ARRT certification, state licensure where applicable, and BLS; EPIC EHR and PACS experience preferred. Expect travel to off-site locations and a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT (required)
• State Licensure (preferred)
• BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required)
• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
• Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation protection.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment; ensures safety and professionalism.
• Documents patient encounters within EMR.
• Determines and selects proper electronic and technical factors.
• Maintains skills; may travel to other facilities to meet patient care needs.
• Directs sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination.
• Reports malfunctions or needed repairs of equipment.
• Performs additional duties such as ordering supplies, scheduling, and scribing as needed.
