Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies and support patient care under clinical supervision. You will document encounters in the EMR, select proper exposure factors, and maintain safety protocols.

Requirements include ARRT certification, state licensure (preferred), and BLS. The role may involve travel between facilities and additional duties per supervisor directions.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT (required)
• State licensure (preferred)
• BLS from American Heart Association (required)

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation protection
• Sets up and adjusts equipment and immobilization devices; ensures patient safety and professionalism
• Documents patient encounters in the EMR
• Selects appropriate exposure factors and safeguards equipment and patient
• May travel to other facilities and adjust hours as needed to support patient care
• Maintains sterile technique and reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor
• Performs or assists with ancillary duties such as lab tests, scheduling, and patient registration when required
