Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies and support patient care under provider direction. The role requires ARRT certification and state licensure in Virginia if performing there, with basic Life Support certification preferred.

You will document encounters in EMR, operate EPIC and PACS, and travel to off-site facilities as needed. The position involves multi-skilled clinical tasks, radiation safety, patient handling, and collaboration

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• State licensure preferred where applicable; Virginia licensure required if performing in Virginia.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation protection.
• Sets up and handles immobilization devices and equipment.
• Documents encounters in EMR.
• Selects appropriate technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• Maintains skills, may travel to other facilities to meet patient care needs.
• Practices sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination.
• Reports equipment issues to supervisor.
• Performs duties such as scheduling, registration, scribing as needed.
