Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead customer-quality issues for Critical Power projects, acting as design authority on mid-to high-complexity engineering work. You will coordinate with service, engineering, and product teams to resolve issues and ensure project success.

The role requires strong communication, a drive to improve products, and hands-on engagement with customers and internal stakeholders. Remote work with travel up to 40% is expected.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ABB's primary customer contact for quality and technical issues, leading communications, onsite support, action plans, and resolution timelines.
• Act as the technical and design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate- to high-complexity projects.
• Review and approve designs, perform verification and peer reviews, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, contractual, and as-built documentation requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges while communicating product gaps, customer needs, and market trends to commercial and product management teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, service, supply chain, sales, and product management to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, including work plans, cost estimates, RFQs, supplier evaluations, project meetings, contract variations, and timely delivery of engineering outputs.
