Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead as the technical design authority and primary customer contact on Critical Power projects. You will coordinate with service, engineering, factory, and product management to deliver solutions and resolve quality issues.

The role requires a strong electrical engineering background, fluent English, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Remote work is available with 40% travel to customer sites in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Teams; ability to leverage AI tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ABB's primary customer contact for quality and technical issues, leading communications, onsite support, action plans, and resolution timelines.
• Act as technical and design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate- to high-complexity projects.
• Review and approve designs, perform verification and peer reviews, ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges; communicate product gaps and market needs to commercial/product teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, testing, service, supply chain, sales, and product management.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with work plans, cost estimates, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and timely delivery of outputs.
