Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. in Dallas seeks a QA/QC Field Inspector to perform quality control inspections and testing of field installed instrumentation devices, fabricated control panels, following NEC, UL 508A and 698A standards and site drawings.

You will develop written reports highlighting improvement opportunities, communicate findings to the team, and recommend corrective actions to minimize recurring issues while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (AA) in Electrical Technology or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• State Journeyman License.
• Ability to power up and test 120 VAC, 24VDC, and 480V systems per OSHA/NEC safety practices.
• Understanding of instrument and control systems including PLCs and instrument loops.

Responsibilities

• Develop written reports illustrating opportunities for improvement based on findings.
• Communicate findings to team members and guide improvements.
• Analyze quality findings and recommend corrective actions to minimize recurrence.
• Visually verifies BOMs and tests electrical components and wiring tags.
• Strictly adhere to safety and environmental rules and regulations.
