Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking a QA/QC Field Inspector to perform quality control inspections and testing of field-installed instrumentation devices and control panels in line with NEC, UL 508A and 698A standards and project drawings.

You will develop reports, communicate findings for improvement, analyze quality data, and verify components, wiring, and BOMs while following safety rules to protect personnel and the public.

Qualifications

• AA Electrical Technology or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• State Journeyman License.
• Ability to power up and test 120 VAC, 24VDC, and 480V voltage electrical systems (OSHA/NEC).
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits.
• Overtime/weekend availability as needed per schedule.
• Ability to read P&IDs and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with ProCore, CxAlloy, BIM360 Field.

Responsibilities

• Develop written reports illustrating opportunities for improvement based on factual findings.
• Communicate to team members on how to improve performance based on quality inspections.
• Analyze quality findings and propose corrective actions to minimize recurrence.
• Properly use electrical test equipment and verify components and wiring.
• Visually verifies BOMs for panels and instrumentation devices.
• Adhere to safety and environmental rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
