Job summary

Abington Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Associate II to enhance the patient experience by efficiently processing arrival and departure activities for visits. The role requires obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations, verifying insurance and demographics, and supporting a smooth flow of patients to examination rooms.

The PSA II will greet patients professionally, handle inquiries by phone or in person, and ensure HIPAA privacy and security compliance while escalating

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Willingness to provide and support a positive Jefferson Experience for all patients and/or visitors.
• Ability to process and interpret data.
• Ability to multi task while managing a time sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Processes check in and/or check out, point of service activities and/or scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtains pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
• Greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
