Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans is seeking a Patient Services Associate (PSA) II to enhance the patient and visitor experience by processing arrival and departure activities, obtaining pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations, verifying insurance and demographics, and supporting efficient flow to examination rooms.

The role emphasizes courteous treatment, HIPAA compliance, and high-quality customer service across the practice/department.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Ability to process and interpret data and manage time-sensitive workloads.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in line with Jefferson values.
• Processes check in/check out, scheduling, and patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtains pre-certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates concerns as needed.
• Greets patients/visitors professionally by phone or in person.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
