Job summary

The Patient Services Associate (PSA) II enhances the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally processing arrival and departure activities associated with visits to the practice/department. Obtains pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures, verifies insurance, referrals and patient demographic information.

The PSA II supports delivery of the Jefferson Experience by placing emphasis on the prompt and courteous treatment of all patients and visitors to

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Ability to process and interpret data.
• Ability to multi task while managing a time sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Process check in and check out, and scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtain pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates patient/provider concerns as appropriate.
• Greet patients/visitors in a professional manner; adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
